Read below and see what Wirral University’s Head of Clinical Applications, Paul Jones shared about his experience with our LMS, Learn365.

Now that the NHSmail has an integrated learning management system (LMS), what are you looking forward to accomplishing in your organization?

Our clinical systems training is currently delivered exclusively in face-to-face classroom sessions. The implementation of Learn365 will enable us to modernize our training delivery which will enable us to not only provide the essential training that we currently deliver, but also expand our training portfolio to allow our clinical and operational staff to learn more about the electronic patient record system they use every day. The system will also provide easier access to learning, helping increase adoption of new technology.

Why did you choose Learn365 as the preferred learning and training solution for Wirral University Teaching Hospital?

The product ticked all the boxes that we had identified when looking at moving to an LMS. This was the reason we opted to progress things with Learn365, but the level of engagement we had from the Learn365 team is a big part of the reason why we stuck with Learn365 even when we were facing difficulties in implementing the solution within the NHS central tenant.

How do you plan to set up your training environment with Learn365 and Microsoft 365?

We will start by building our course catalog within SharePoint and enable access to courses and pathways through the Learn365 mobile app. Once this is established, we can start looking at targeted education through Microsoft Teams using the team, channel, and tabs structure.

I am most excited about enabling our frontline staff to complete their clinical systems training where and when they like. Learn365 within our Microsoft environment means staff don’t need to worry about any new login details and can seamlessly transition from working to training.

Paul Jones, Head of Clinical Applications

What originally inspired you about Learn365?

We very clearly needed to modernize our training delivery method, and I wanted the solution to be intuitive, easy to navigate, and easy to access. Seeing the use of Microsoft 365 products increasing led me to investigate the possibilities of a system that would work well with this suite of tools. Learn365 fulfilled all the requirements and had a fresh, modern look about it.
