Zensai, the AI-powered platform for learning, employee engagement, and performance management, built on Azure and integrated into Microsoft 365 and Teams, is excited to announce the appointment of Microsoft veteran David Willis as Chairman of the Zensai Board of Directors. With nearly three decades of experience at Microsoft, David will guide Zensai’s impressive growth trajectory as it scales its Human Success platform and leads the charge in transforming HR as we know it today.

David Willis to lead Zensai Board of Directors amidst rapid growth

David brings a wealth of expertise from his distinguished career at Microsoft. During his time, he held key executive roles focused on SMB, Partners, Channels, and enterprise applications. Additionally, he played a critical role in doubling the North American SMB business from $4 billion to $8 billion within four years. Also, he was instrumental in driving Microsoft’s shift from on-premise to cloud-based solutions.

One of his significant achievements was developing a partner co-selling engine, enabling seamless collaboration between Microsoft partners and sellers, leading to tens of thousands of successful co-sell deals.

David Willis, Zensai’s Chairman of the Board shares, “As organizations are looking for a usable AI-powered learning, engagement, and productivity platform, Zensai is on its way to creating an entirely new product category that reimagines traditional HR into a movement around empowering people to be their best.”

David takes over the Chairman role from Lars Damsgaard, who served Zensai for seven years. Chiefly, Damsgaard guided the company through a period of growth, transformation, and international expansion. Reflecting on his time with the company, Lars shared:

The story of Zensai clearly exceeds what I imagined when I signed up for the chairman position, and now I feel like my stint at Zensai has come full circle. Navision ended up under David Willis at Microsoft, and now I am handing the next Danish unicorn over to the safe hands of David. It really could not be a better final chapter for me or Zensai.

Innovation and Growth at Zensai

Zensai continues to lead the way in making work life simpler, better, and more productive for HR professionals, L&D managers, and employees alike. In the past year alone, Zensai has delivered more than 15 new AI-powered features. These include AI-guided coaching for managers, AI-assisted writing for employee check-ins, AI-powered course and quiz creation, AI discovery of courses tailored to different learning styles, and AI summaries for managers—all designed to help professionals and employees become the best versions of themselves.

To support its rapid expansion, Zensai recently appointed Kathleen Lord as Chief Revenue Officer. Kathleen will spearhead the company’s efforts to scale its revenue engine across U.S. and global markets, as demand for Zensai’s Learn365, Perform365, and Engage365 solutions continues to rise. With a reinforced leadership team, Zensai is making waves in the HR space, competing with industry giants like Lattice and CultureAmp, while winning over customers of all sizes, including DAZN, the world’s largest sports streaming network.

As Zensai strengthens its position as a category leader, David Willis’ leadership as Chairman of the Zensai Board of Directors will be key in driving the company’s mission to revolutionize HR and empower people to succeed in their roles.
