“A system like Learn365 makes learning so much easier and more efficient. It’s great to have an overview of all the training available in your company and offer that to all your colleagues. Amazingly, it is so user-friendly!”

Challenge: Finding the ideal platform to support global learning across a smaller workforce

CDM Stravitec provides a range of noise and vibration isolation solutions for buildings and industrial equipment. Headquartered in Belgium, the company employs over 100 people across ten countries in Europe and North America.

The company was looking for an easy-to-use learning platform that would integrate seamlessly with Microsoft 365. They needed a solution to help employees share knowledge and allow the team to navigate compliance challenges around recording training hours across multiple locations.

Solution: A learning platform that facilitates knowledge sharing and compliance reporting

CDM Stravitec is a family-owned business with a friendly culture that encourages strong working relationships and knowledge sharing. Lina Willockx, HR Business Partner, says:

We invest a lot in knowing each other. Everyone has a name, not a number! Each year, we also host events where everyone around the world flies to Belgium, and we go to a venue for two days. We do some work, but the most important reason is to be together and to get to know each other better.”

One of the main ways that employees share knowledge is through training and accessing related learning resources. However, without a learning platform in place, it proved challenging to share this knowledge efficiently across the entire company. Willockx explains:

“We are an international company with offices in different countries. It had become impossible to keep track of all the training correctly. As a result, a significant amount of knowledge was only shared with a limited group or was lost because no one knew what was there. We wanted to establish a global learning catalog of our existing knowledge to share as widely as possible.”

Another challenge for the learning team was recording training hours across different countries. Numbers which they needed to report for compliance purposes in some jurisdictions.

“Countries such as Belgium, France and Portugal require you to prove that you have invested in training hours for each employee. We recorded these in an Excel spreadsheet, which was neither efficient nor sufficient for governmental proof. Being able to accurately record training hours and prove our investment in training was one of the reasons we needed an LMS.”

Learn365 ticks the boxes on Microsoft 365 integration and pricing

The team was keen to find a learning platform solution that would be intuitive for learners. But it also needed to be suitable for course administrators and the central learning team. Willockx remarks:

“We wanted a system that was easy to use for all our employees, but was also easy to manage and where we could easily get reports.”

After researching the market to find a suitable solution, the team stumbled across Learn365 from Zensai. Part of what made Learn365 so attractive was its ability to integrate with Microsoft 365. This meant that learning would be easily accessible through an interface that would be instantly familiar to employees.

“We use Microsoft Teams a lot, as well as SharePoint. We were implementing several new platforms, so we were ideally looking for a solution that could integrate with a system with which employees are already comfortable. Learn365 is built into a system that employees use daily.”

While Learn365 also had the requisite features to support a global course catalogue, granular reporting, and recording certificates, Zensai’s competitive pricing was also a significant factor. Willockx comments:

“The very reasonable price impacted our decision. We are a small business and don’t have huge amounts to spend!”

Strong partnership, flexible implementation

The team felt that the Zensai team would be a strong partner during any Learn365 implementation. Zensai provided ongoing support and a process wrapped around the needs of CDM Stravitec, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.  Willockx comments:

“The Zensai team really convinced me that they could be a good partner for us. They not only provided coaching and guidance but also said that we would work together in a flexible way.”

With the contract finally signed in December 2024, the implementation kicked off in January.  Willockx appreciates the ongoing support from the Zensai team during the project.

“We had meetings every two weeks or so. I always loved those meetings because I could just ask my questions I had at that moment in time. At the start, a lot was new, particularly as I was not used to SharePoint. What I really liked was that everything was based totally on our needs and working at our pace. Sandra was great! She was always available to answer my questions and always asked if I was ready to go to the next step.”

Finally, in June 2025, Learn365, branded as StraviLearn, was launched to all 100+ employees across CDM Stravitec.

Results: A global learning platform with robust reporting for improvement and compliance

Even though StraviLearn is only a few months old, it has been very well received by the rest of the organization. Willockx says:

“The business is completely on board with Learn365, and many still tell us it’s all quite new and exciting! It’s doing exactly what we want it to do. I love it that when people ask about a specific course, I can just say ‘go and have a look in our great training catalogue’!”

The team also appreciate Learn365’s integration with Teams and SharePoint. It not only ensures learning is effortless to access, but also means they can share course material via StraviNet, the company’s SharePoint-based intranet and social collaboration platform.

Critically, the team can now reliably track all the learning and knowledge sharing throughout the company.

“Previously, a lot of knowledge was shared without having any record of it, so we are happy that we now have a system in place.”

Learn365’s reporting capabilities enable the team to accurately record the training hours of employees across different countries, a key requirement for compliance. They no longer rely on Excel and a time-consuming manual process.

The team are also using Learn365’s certification feature to record the various certificates in use across CDM Stravitec. Willockx explains:

“Our engineers and installation team in the UK require certain certifications to be able to enter the work environment. They undergo mandatory training that covers security and safety. We also have a lot of third-party language courses in StraviLearn, where we use certificates. It’s all recorded on the system.”

In addition, Learn365 has revolutionized CDM Stravitec’s approach to employee onboarding. They’ve replaced the previous ad hoc approach with a global program that still supports local differentiation.

“We realized it would be great to have one onboarding plan that can be sent to everyone, which covers the main topics, but then allows different areas to adapt to their specific needs.”

Another advantage of Learn365 is that it empowers different business teams to manage and update their own learning content, further reducing the admin burden on the central learning team. Although Willockx and her HR colleague still add any new courses, they then hand them back to the business to look after, a process they perform with confidence as Learn365 is so easy to use.

“Once the training is created, they become admin of that training, and so they can do whatever they want. They can make tweaks and add quizzes, for example. Of course, I can help them if they need it, but ultimately it is their responsibility to make sure that everything is on the system and up to date.”

Future: Building on a great start

It may still be early days for StraviLearn, but the team are already planning to add new content and topics and are excited about future possibilities. They are also continuing to run information sessions with different business teams to help them get the best out of the platform, which Willockx is confident will result in “more knowledge sharing”.

“We’ve still got some improvements to make. For example, we want to optimize some of our e-learning. But for now, all the existing learning we had is in Learn365 and available.”

Reflecting on their rapid progress, Willockx is proud of the achievements that have been made.

“Now, when I am asked a question, I very often just say go and have a look at the catalogue, and then the problem is solved, or the question is answered. That’s the added value of StraviLearn – to be able to share with all our colleagues what is available. It’s something I really like about having Learn365 in place!”
