Anjuna Air Solutions provides a range of specialist business support and consulting services to the airline industry. The company’s 40 employees are spread across the world, supporting operations in multiple markets.
The company was looking for a lightweight learning solution that would fit seamlessly with Microsoft 365. Plus, they wanted it to help streamline compliance training and minimize risk across different countries.
Streamlined compliance training with a free LMS
In a heavily regulated industry like aviation, compliance is critical, particularly when a company operates in multiple countries. Patrick Stepanek, Anjuna’s CEO, explains:
In the aviation industry following compliance in multiple areas such as cybersecurity is very important. We’re also a global and remote company. We must abide by local policies and procedures for every country that we’re incorporated in.
So that Anjuna’s employees are fully aware of both local policies and compliance-related issues, the company was looking for an easy-to-use learning platform. Patrick Stepanek comments:
Previously we’d set up a solution to support cybersecurity awareness, but we found it disappointing. We decided to get a new system that would support our wider training needs.
In selecting a potential solution, the team wanted a robust system that would require minimal effort to set up and would largely “look after itself”. Patrick Stepanek shares, “We believe in designing processes internally that utilize proven tools available in the market. We didn’t want a customized solution. We were looking for an off-the-shelf system to minimize the IT implementation and support effort.”
As Anjuna Airline Solutions uses Microsoft 365 at the core of its everyday operations, a learning solution that had deep integration with Microsoft 365 also made perfect sense. This not only reduced any barriers for using the system, but also kept IT involvement to a minimum.
Tracking and training in one free LMS platform
As well integrating with Microsoft 365, Learn365 also ticked several other boxes. Patrick Stepanek comments: “We wanted something that would track all the training carried out and would be far more efficient and scalable than sending out training details by email.”
One standout feature of Learn365 during the evaluation process was the Freemium option, which allowed Anjuna to try the platform with no upfront commitment. Patrick Stepanek explains:
I always like to try out a product before I commit to it. Zensai showed me their Learn365 Freemium option so I could see exactly how it works and if it delivered what we actually need. The customer support was very good and quick. We were able to properly try it out.
To Patrick Stepanek’s surprise, the Freemium version of Learn365 includes everything that Anjuna was looking for in a training solution—tracking, efficiency, and scalability.
The Zensai team offered me a very good package. To this day it solves and delivers exactly what I need, which is excellent!
With Learn365 Freemium, users get access to 1 course catalog, 8 course modules and up to 100 monthly enrollments. This makes it a great fit for smaller organizations and growing organizations like Anjuna Air.
Altogether, the straightforward implementation process allowed Anjuna to roll out compliance training with its free LMS across its global workforce in early 2023, and to this day, the airline is still successfully using the free version to manage its training needs.
Keeping on top of compliance training
Today Anjuna’’s entire workforce are able to access Learn365 Freemium. Patrick Stepanek shares:
Learn365 focuses on the things people need to know, be aware of, and be trained upon. That’s been our focus. We have HR policies in there. Courses on cybersecurity and other compliance areas. Our people use it once a quarter, six months or annually depending on the training cadence required. It’s not a part of a typical day within Anjuna but when they do access Learn365, it works very well.
Currently about half of the courses are adapted from third-party material, while the rest have been created in-house. Patrick Stepanek continues, “I found it straight forward to integrate and add what I wanted staff to learn and then track that. There’s been no steep learning curve. The set-up of the training module and the upload of course material is easy.”
Installing even just the Freemium version of Learn365 has allowed Patrick Stepanek to access the reporting he needs to stay on top of compliance training.
Because we can now track all our learning we have an easy overview of training progress. We can demonstrate that staff are trained on must-have modules required by our customers. Occasionally I even show customers the actual reports within Learn365.
A platform that scales with the business
At present, Learn365 is working perfectly for Anjuna Airline Solutions, even just with the features provided by the Freemium version. If and when the company grows, Learn365 can also easily scale as new staff join.
For example, new content and topics can be added, with the potential to switch over to one of Learn365’s paid plans to unlock new features. If the company also starts using Microsoft Teams, then it’s also possible to enable staff to access Learn365 through the Teams interface. There’s even the potential to integrate a third-party application using Learn365’s API.
Patrick Stepanek comments, “I’m very happy with the product and it’s features. It’s working well for us. When we do need to scale and expand the use of Learn365 then the platform is ready for us to do that.”
